A great way to get connected here at The Gate Church is to participate in our ongoing ministries.
The Gate Church is intentional about glorifying God by making disciples, which means fully devoted followers of Christ. The primary means employed to disciple believers are expository preaching, community group interaction, and personal one-on-one discipleship.
At The Gate Church we have a multi-layered discipleship program. It gives the disciple time with someone who takes responsibility for their spiritual growth through theological training, biblical accountability, and opportunities to serve in various ways utilizing their spiritual gifts. (Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 2:2)
One of the outlets for every-member of The Gate Church is Community Groups. Such fellowships are employed to evangelize the lost, equip the saved, foster intimacy, form authentic relationships, and minister to the individual needs in the body. These groups meet in homes once a week to engaged in a curriculum, biblical accountability, and genuine fellowship.
Community Groups are also one of our main units for evangelism and service to our community. Once a month all groups go into a specific area in University City to serve, engage the culture, and communicate the gospel with our lives and lips. We believe Christianity is not a spectator sport, so we work as Christ’s example exemplified. (Acts 2:42-47)
Redeemed & Reloaded is the women’s ministry at The Gate Church. Our name speaks to who we are and what we are about. We are REDEEMED, no longer walking “according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air” (Ephesians 2:2). God has “delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son” (Colossians 1:13). We are REDEEMED by the blood of the Lamb.
Not only that, but we are RELOADED. Before Christ, we thought like the enemy wanted us to think, and moved like he wanted us to move. He loaded our minds with lies, and we fired his ammunition into our surroundings. But we are hitting “delete” on the lies that filled our hard drives—our minds—and reloading with Truth.
Our women meet twice a month. 2nd Monday nights for biblical teaching and to discuss real-life issues through a biblical lens. And 4th Fridays for fellowship and service opportunities.
"Then God said, "Let us MAKE man in our image, after our likeness." (Genesis 1:26)
"Go therefore and MAKE disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)
We were not created by evolution, but MADE by God. Disciples are not born, but MADE. The focus of Made Men is to make disciples who uplift our Maker.
Our men meet twice a month. 4th Saturday mornings for systematic theology class, prayer, devotional, accountability and practical manhood application workshops. Also, 2nd weekend for fellowship events.
